Where do you need to be adding more “self-care” to your business?

There is so much talk right now about “self-care”. It’s a major buzzword and it feels like everyone is talking about it.

For me, over the last year or so it has come in many different forms. From mani/pedis and housecleaners to membership to BetterHelp.

The thing is, self-care takes many forms. You can always incorporate some forms of self-care in pretty much anything you do!

Your morning routines, evening routines, every meal.

What you drink, who you talk to, HOW you talk, what you listen to, or don’t listen to, read, the people you do or don’t spend time with. It is all-encompassing.

If you think about it, even as an entrepreneur running your business, it is in every aspect of your life whether consciously or not.

Ways to add self-care to your business:

Boundaries : It is imperative to set boundaries with pretty much anyone you work with; from clients to team members. If you don’t, they will set them for you.

YOU set the tone of how you are treated. You let your clients and team know you’re not available 24/7. Do NOT tell your team you’re available to them if you’re going to turn around and get pissed off and cause a bunch of drama if someone “bothers you” after you said, “I am available for my new team”.

Be clear with expectations: whatever it is, it can wait. People, especially new clients or new team members, they can’t read your mind. Help them help you.

Delegation: this is specifically for your team. If you know there is something you absolutely hate doing in your business, it brings you down, lowers your energy, vibe and productivity, get that crap off your plate.

Make sure it goes to someone who loves it! If you don’t like making graphics and your VA is a meme-making machine, make both of you happy! Delegate the tasks in your business you know you definitely don’t want to be doing.

Systems and Structures: Especially for soul-led entrepreneurs/ light leaders/ spiritual business owners these are often considered curse words, but hear me out. Even with the most “screw the rules” as my mentor and friend Katrina Ruth would say, having these in place can and I promise you WILL be game-changing for you AND your team.

It’s the same as in your personal life, you may listen to your body as to what kind of workout or what kind of food you want to eat that day, but you still move and you still eat.

Having systems in place will allow for faster switches from idea to idea, from launching this product to JK, I feel called to launch two products; an evergreen and a brand new live download you just received. An outlined system for evergreen AND live launches would be wicked helpful when you come to your team on a Monday and drop your download on them.

You still get to honor your soul-led activities but also ensure your business is running smoothly and that not only you, your clients but your team, is also taken care of.
